Biography:   Volaré is a new instrumental quartet from Athens, Georgia. Their music evokes the spirit of the Canterbury sound with the addition of a strong symphonic element. The band counts National Health, Hatfield & The North and Happy the Man among their main influences.

The lineup consists of Steve Hatch (guitar), Pat Strawser (keyboards, Richard M. Kessler (bass/sax) and Brian Donohoe on drums.

After receiving much acclaim from their self-titled demo tape the band felt they were ready to enter the studio to record their first album.

After the band signed with The Laser's Edge label it was decided that they would record at Glass Hammer's Sound Resources studio.

After taking a crash course in Canterbury, producers Steve Babb and Fred Schendel understood exactly the sound the band was looking for. The result is The Uncertainty Principle - the freshest slice of Canterbury inspired music recorded in years.

The object was not to simply create a Canterbury pastiche. Volaré use the overall Canterbury sound as a starting point and add their own imprint. Jazz fusion and symphonic rock are also important aspects of the band's overall sound.
